Well, the first time at the second time around?
It didn't work!
Gah.
I didn't like that feeling. Not in the least bit.
When you are "lucky" the first time around you think the same will be true the second time around at your IUI.
We weren't and it was miserable.
I went through the "maybe this isn't the time"... "maybe we should save more"... "what was different"... I'll say it just FELT off. I don't know how to explain it, but it didn't feel like it worked. And it didn't.
And I did not whatsoever noway no how like that flashback to how it felt to not be pregnant when you wanted to be.
So we decided to go straight into a second treatment.
And work it did.
With a bump or two.
And our health savings account for the year spent before March even began.
Now we just need a nickname for this second tadpole.

News and another great weekend
Susann has already let the cat out but our big news this week was that we are expecting again. The due date is December 5th - which also happens to have been Senator Thurmond's birthday. We are almost as excited as Robbie to have another little one headed our way.
The weather was just about perfect on Saturday and today. We got the family out to the dog park and had a great meal at our favorite Indian resturant. Robbie had is first nan and he did not like the rice pudding either.
Robbie also had his first corn on the cob tonight. He struggled a little but for his first time out he did well.
Happy Birthday to Aunt Paula!

You Know You are Pregnant When
You go to the grocery store hungry and buy:
Taquitos.
Ice cream sandwiches.
Black bean dip.
Blueberry muffins.
Two pineapples.
Two pints of blueberries.
A rotisserie chicken.
Not shocking that I'm showing already, is it?
But those taquitos were damn good. And I used a coupon?

Then this happened...
Then this happened...
Not really a "surprise" per se, but here we go again. Palmetto Baby, version 2.0
(Shawn LOVES posts about fertility treatments... sorry honey)

Operation Baby Gate and Thank You
We have finally got the main defensive gate in place across the doorway between the den and dinning room. For some reason Robbie is fixated on Daisy's dog bowl and now that bowl is on the other side of the gate. More baby proofing to do but I have all the stuff now so just have to do it now.
We have had a great weekend so far with the trips to Eastern Market / Cantler's and the dog park. Get to cut the grass and put sealant on the roof tomorrow finishing the day off with a cookout.
I don't want to close without saying thank you to all of those who have served and continue to serve. You have all given far more than we can ever know and some have given all. All we can do in return is to say thank you and to try everyday to be worthy as citizens and as a nation of the sacrifice.
