Ok we had a great time this weekend at the zoo. The weather was nice and it was beyond nice to get outside. Both Robbie and Anna Helen were wide eyed at all the animals, particularly the elephants and panda bears.
Church today was good. Annie was a special guest star in Sunday school this morning due to the fact that she lost her mind for 10 minutes when I left her in the nursery - my mistake.
Which brings us to this evening - I, as is Susann, am a proud child of South Carolina. We love the idea of snow and LOATHE the reality of snow. For the 10th (ok more like 5th - again I am a Southerner and we like to "polish" a story) we are getting snow in Washington. Supposedly 6-8 inches FUN FUN.
I think I can speak for the greater Capitol region when I say - WE ARE READY FOR SPRING!

Carolina In My Mind
Since he was a baby, Robbie's lullaby from me was always "Carolina in My Mind".
Now when he's in the car, he requests "My Mind?"
He knows all the words.
But my favorite? When he says "Baby My Mind" and wants to be rocked and sing the song when it is bedtime.
These are the minutes you don't get back. Thanks to Dada for capturing it.

Ewww
Every once in awhile...
Something happens...
In the diaper region...
Sometimes involving walls and furniture...
Sometimes just abject grossness...
Regularly excessive amounts of laundry...
I shall not detail the tales, other than to say to those of you in the gross diaper trenches?
I'm there.
So there.
Don't be fooled by the innocence.
So there.
Guacamole?
Consequences.
Tomatoes?
Consequences.
Corn?
Consequences.
Bananas, white bread, applesauce, rice?
Consequences.
This one goes out to the diaper warriors.
The sanitize laundry masses.
The Lysol liaisons.
We are there.

Apple ... Tree
This apple doesn't fall far from his tree.
From yesterday's daily report for Robster.
"Robert made an airplane out of popsicle sticks. He loves our long walks. He likes to point out American flags"

Great Birthday.
Well my actual birthday was on Thursday and I was on a business trip. Good trip but I will admit to missing my family.
Susann made up for it by taking me out to a wonderful dinner at the Prime Rib steakhouse in DC. It is a very good restaurant that is suck in 1968 which, in my opinion, is a good thing. The place has a dress code that they actually enforce and leather seating is everywhere. The best part - other than spending time with Susann - was the service - very good without being overbearing.
I have a great deal to be thankful for everyday.
Here's to 41 being the best year yet.
