Photo Catch Up

One of my favorite uses of this blog is to seal for our family album photos.

Doing may not come with great stories in every moment, but it's just as fun to have the snapshots of our ordinary.

Our ordinary right now is playground visiting, school going, birthday partying, guacamole eating as always.

Nothing overly exciting.

But I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Montessori Birthday

We had our first Montessori birthday on Saturday for a friend who was turning 5.

A couple of things that are a little different from "normal" school is that there are mixed ages in classrooms and there are 25-27 kids in each class (compared to 16-18 in other early childhood classes in DC).  In Robbie's class the ages range from 3-6.

The friend decided he wanted to invite the entire class and pretty close to the entire class showed up.  The kids had lots of great food and great activities primarily focused around "Cops and Robbers."

A good time was had by all.

For sale

For sale.

One three year old, one hour past bedtime expiration time.

Six pairs of pants he is currently wearing optional.

His response?

"I think I made a bad choice"

10:12pm dispatch

Go in to do a last "are-you-warm-enough" check.

(Understand that both kids are in big kid bed and roam their rooms sometimes to our detriment.)

Annie has her pacifier zipped into the foot of her zip up jammies.

With a short sleeve piggy t-shirt on top of said jammies.

And some legwarmers on top of said jammie legs.

And one brown boot.

Robbie?

All jammies off.

Redressed into a "Jamaican' me crazy" tshirt and a Thomas the Train swimsuit.

Do you.

(This photo from last night's redress, not tonight's unfortunately)
