Buddies

We are enter that golden time in parenting where our kids are "colleagues".

You say, with the two of them in a room, "find a partner"...  they find each other and hold hands.

They hug to apologize for a previous push-down, punch, slap, or general infraction.

It's getting easier to have two kids so close together every day. 

There were moments when I think "what did we do???"

We get quizzical looks when folks ask how old they are... are they twins... how far apart they are...

I want to yell... BUT INFERTILITY.

But mostly, I'm so grateful they are buddies.

Usually.

What a difference 12 months makes.

 

Great 4th

Every once in awhile it works out.


Usual DC weather on the 4th - mid 90's and mid 90% humidity.


4th of July 2014 - 81 degrees and 30% humidity = WONDERFUL


We (Susann and I) could possibly be the most patriotic people in the country.  We love the USA for what it is and more importantly what it could be.  We look forward to the future for Robbie and Anna Helen and are prepared to do every thing possible to ensure the potential becomes a reality.


Happy Birthday America!

She Tried

Annie wants you to know she tried her hardest...

She chanted U-S-A.

Yelled GOAL.

Ate blueberries and strawberries.

Didn't work out.

I have platitudes about how I can't WAIT for the women in my life to teach Annie how to do things like a girl.  Because the girls I know?  They are dominating.  They are all in. At every moment.

Little sister ya'll?  She's all in.  I had a brief window to capture her running, but trust you me, this happens all day every day.

She is the epitome of running like a girl.

All girls should run like this.

Should live like this.

While it is next to impossible to get two kids in a photo together... every now and then we get a couple cute ones of them alone.
