Trust me, people, it's not all sunshine and rainbows up in here.
But I made a promise back when it took us so long to GET here and I wouldn't complain about the parenting side of things.
We, in general, have an awesomely sunny dude. He is literally happy 99.9% of the time.
But we've had some parenting foibles along the way.
Here's to confessing. I assign myself three Hail Marys as penance.
You know the time that I got where I was driving and realized I forgot to actually BUCKLE the kid in to his carseat?
Or you know, the time that he was not yet rolling, so he was hanging out on the bed while we got ready for work and he rolled off and knocked two large welts in each side of his forehead?
Or the time that he pooped on the restaurant floor? At our favorite restaurant? (Sorry La Lom@).
Making our way the best we can.
We haven't broken him yet.
Omg, he pooped on the La Loma floor? It's probably good it was LL, since they love you guys.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, we drove all the way home from Franklin's with Linden not buckled in. We went from her from sitting in the carrier at the restaurant, to snapping in her car seat, to driving home... OOPS.
I have a mommy mantra: my boy will have bruises, I will prevent them the best I can, but it will happen. And sure enough I could sit and finish my dinner last night while I watched him climb up the changing table in the living room. They will love us later in life for not keeping them in a bubble from birth.
