You got something to say?

The bib may be JV, but when you are dominating tasty Mexican at La Loma?  Totes necessary.

Does it come in adult sizes?

Moving the ball down the field

A Special Thursday Dad Blog!

Robbie is starting to make some real progress on the language front.

He understands a great deal.

His speaking is coming along nicely with him seeming to pick up a word or two a day.

 Now to be fair the words don't always come out as proper Southern but he gets his meaning across.

BA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! = Bus
Ger = Water
Aya= Anna Helen
Dase = Daisy
no = no

But his spelling?  Impressive.  He lined the letters up like this all on his own.

Sometimes You Lose

I'm not winning at parenting this week.

It all started with a naptime thud on Saturday afternoon, and it turns out that Robbie has learned how to catapult himself out of his crib.  For now he's too scared to climb again, but it appears that a transition to a toddler bed may be closer than we anticipated.

Followed by my amazing mom dinner tonight.  Yea.  I fed my kid a happy meal.  He ignored the  burger, dominated the fries, and asked for more apples.

All topped off with trying to give AH a tiny piece of solid food (about an 1/8 of a blueberry) which let to a choking, turning blue, and ultimately vomiting episode because I flipped out that she couldn't breathe.

She looked at me with this HELP ME NOW face.

It was the worst.

A red letter week for the Mom here.

Park Saturday

As you saw in the swings pictures, we hit up Clemyj0ntri Park again for a couple hours this weekend before I headed out of town on business.  How much the Robster has grown since our first visit!

We have progressed from terror to casual indifference on the carousel, for one.

The park is in the flight path of the airport, so Robbie spent have the time looking for and pointing at airplanes.  Next stop: Gravely Point
