Value is key

For those of you who don't know - most of you reading this do - you can spend as much and far more than you want on all things baby.

We have touched in previous post on our friends and families generosity with clothes, bedding and other goodies.

The answer to many, not all but many, of getting the other needed items for a good deal is that most American of ideas . . . the Yard Sale!!!

Our neighborhood holds a annual yard sale day in May.  There were 72 yard sales within 1/2 a mile of our house on Saturday and we took good advantage.

We got a pack -in-play for my parents, a strap in chair that turns a regular chair into a highchair,  a couple of Halloween costumes, the fable frog pod and lots and lots of clothes all for $50.  Susann was wheeling and dealing with the best of them and everything fit into the Honda to take back to the house.  My man room has now been invaded by little man things.


Overall a great weekend.  Next weekend we start the process of cleaning the nursery to prepare for a new coat of paint and baby furniture.
