Hurricane Parties

How hurricane/snow day parties have changed with children.

A snow day with Jay, AK and Tmo is one of my favorite DC memories.  We hit the liquor store, bought out the pizza rolls and Doritos in the tri-state area, wore our jammies, played the Wii and hunkered down for as long as needed for the storm to pass.

Today?  A hurricane party looks a little different.

Do I miss those other days?  Sure.

But you can't beat a buffet of goldfish, wine, Halloween candy and sippy cups.

Grateful for the community of moms and dads in the neighborhood who have helped us to weather the literal and figurative storms of the last 14 months.
